Challenge
HP needed to plan its transition to Wrike, considering the usual resistance to change that teams experience when new technology is modified or introduced that impacts daily production. These disruptions often disrupt a sense of stability and can trigger emotional and resistant reactions from employees, who need to understand why the change is necessary, how it will affect them, and what the long-term benefits will be.
Solution
Recognizing the challenges inherent in change management, the solution was to inject energy into a series of trainings for the tool in a gamified and accessible manner. The training, conducted entirely remotely over 4 days spread across 4 weeks, introduced a webinar named “Amazing Race.” This unique approach simulated the challenge of ascending a mountain, encouraging participants to navigate through various activities. The gamified structure not only imparted knowledge but also made the assimilation and adoption of change a more fluid and enjoyable process, akin to conquering different stages of a thrilling adventure.
